Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
Review of The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
Hi Guys, today I wanted to share with you all a review of TBS Tea Tree Skin Clearing Face Wash. Now, I've had this product with me from quite some time
now but I wasn't really using it on a regular basis because of too many other options. But due to the changing weather and the humidity I have been experiencing liitle breakouts here and there which at the end of the days does leaves marks.
So, I am taking care of my skin a little extra than the usual and have been particular about the products that I should be using. If you all remember I had recently reviewed the PLUM GREEN TEA MATTIFYING MOISTURISER and trust me it has been working great for my skin since I am more of a combination/oily skin type. So, my skin tends to experience breakouts if the weather is humid/too hot or if it keeps fluctuating. Since I was already using GREEN TEA Moisturizer I thought why not look for a daily face gentle cleanser which can help me with the breakouts and blemished skin, and that's how I happen to notice this product and decided to use it religiously and see if it really helps or not. Because tea tree is supposed to work great for breakouts/acne.
Overview Of The Product: (Rs695 for 250ml of the product)
⦁ This daily-use facial wash for blemished skin gives clearer-looking skin when used as part of a regular regime.
⦁ Removes excess oil without over-drying skin.
⦁ Helps remove impurities.
⦁ Clinically proven to give clearer skin.
⦁ With purifying tea tree oil from the foothills of Mount Kenya.
⦁ Deeply cleanses blemish-prone skin.
⦁ Cooling and refreshing on the skin.
Packaging:
It comes in dark green sturdy plastic bottle with a lid on top which is like a tic tac thingy. It helps to squeeze out the sufficient amount of product needed very easily. The bottle isn't too heavy so it's easy to carry and the product would also not spill due to the spill proof packing.
Directions to use:
You can use it twice a day – morning and evening. Damp your face and take half a coin size amount of this on your palm and gently massage it. It doesn’t lather too much, but quite enough to work with. Massage for 15-20 seconds in circular motions and then I wash it off with normal water.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Glycerin (Humectant), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Surfactant), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate (Viscosity Modifier), PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emulsifier), PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate (Emulsifier), Polysorbate 20 (Emulsifier), Alcohol Denat. (Solvent/Diluent), Panthenol (Skin/Hair Conditioning Agent), Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil (Natural Additive), Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Allantoin (Skin Soothing Agent), Citric Acid (pH Adjuster), p-Anisic Acid (pH Modifier), Benzophenone-4 (Sunscreen agent, Ultraviolet Light Absorber), Menthol (Cooling Agent), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Sunscreen), Limonene (Natural Additive), Leptospermum Petersonii Oil (Natural Additive), t-Butyl Alcohol (Denaturant), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Caramel (Colour), CI 19140 (Colour), CI 42090 (Colour).
My Take On The Product:
I wonder why I wasn't using it on a regular basis!!!! It works great on my skin removes the excess oil and helps me with the breakouts. The fragrance is absolutely refreshing at least to me. (People who aren't comfortable with strong fragrances won't like it too much) . It did work on my breakouts, but you have to be a little patient. I started noticing that my breakouts were disappearing after a week of using this product. Just to share with you guys, I do not suffer from acne. I just have occasional breakouts which were becoming frequent from some time. After using TBS Tea Tree face wash for about a week, I noticed that I wasn't really getting any new breakouts and the really tiny ones were diminishing. So, hell yes it works on the blemished skin really well.
Tea tree oil has antibacterial properties and because this product has 2 surfactant agents, it also helps in deep cleansing. Further menthol provides a cooling sensation for a while which helps in soothing the skin pretty well. As it also contains glycerin it won't dry out your skin.
PROS:
⦁ Can be used as a daily facial cleanser.
⦁ Doesn't dry up the skin.
⦁ Cooling sensation due to menthol which is quite refreshing.
⦁ Good amount of product in decent price.
⦁ Travel-Friendly.
⦁ Deep Cleanses the skin.
⦁ Actually works in clearing out the skin.
CONS:
Ummmm.....Can't really think of any.
I would highly recommend you guys to try it for yourself and see the difference. It's a great value product from a trusted brand. Follow it with a tea tree toner and moisturizer and you'll be able to notice the difference within a week. Great daily facial cleanser. I am really looking forward to trying out all the other products from the same range.
Thank you all. Don't forget to share your valuable feedback. Comment below.
